
Moniza Hossain is a Singaporean author and illustrator of Bengali descent who writes children’s books inspired by her South Asian heritage. She has a Masters in English Literature from King’s College London, and is represented by Dr Uwe Stender at Triada US.
She debuted with the picture book, Street Puppy Masjid Cat, in October of 2025. Her sophomore picture book, Ritu In The Sun, will be published in 2026. She also writes books for middle grade readers. Her middle grade debut, Bad Things Happened Here, will be published Fall of 2026. She has short stories in the award winning anthologies Being Ace and The Beasts Beneath the Winds.
When she’s not busy writing, she teaches English literature and paints dragons. Moniza lives in Manchester with her husband.
